Welcome to our Newest Feature in Heno!
With our new Launch Pad you will be able to create custom emails, filter your patients to send to specific patients (currently based on sub-status), and schedule your patient marketing right inside of Heno!
Keep an eye out for future releases adding to this feature!
About the Launch Pad - Phase 1
- Ability to send E-mails to patients based on Sub-Status and will create a contact log entry after sending the email.
- This can be accessed
- Set up in Marketing > Launch Pad > Communication Rules (BETA)
How to Get Started
To get Started on Heno's Communication Rules, there are 2 (two) steps that must be completed prior to setting up your first email
- Email support@heno.io with a VALID e-mail address that recipients can reply to. We recommend using a company domain and NOT a personal GMAIL/yahoo.com type address.
- Add this SPF TXT record on their domain: v=spf1 include:rp.oracleemaildelivery.com ~all
- Business Microsoft SPF Set up
- Business Gmail SPF Set up
- If you have a different mail server, please Google "[Server Name] SPF Set up"
Who has access to this?
There are two privileges that have been added for this section of Marketing. These can be set up inside the Admin -> User.
Marketing: Comm. Rules - Manage |
This will allow the user to access the new email feature to view, edit & create new emails. |
Marketing: Comm. Rules - View |
This will allow the user to view the new email feature ONLY. |
Where to set up emails?
1) From the Market > Launch Pad > Communication Rules (BETA) > New Folder
A popup will appear for you to name the folder that will contain your rules to send emails.
Name your folder and select the "Create" button
Now that we have a Folder created, lets create a rule to send the email by clicking on the "Folder" icon:
This will redirect you inside of the folder, please then select "Add Rule +"
Then follow the steps in the popup:
Step 1 - Rule Type: This is where you will be able to give your rule a name:
Step 2 - Contact Type:
Email: Enabled will send the email to the recipient.
Contact Log: Enabled will place a note in the contact log of sending the email.
Step 3 - When you would like to send your email:
Notify Starting: Choose your Notify Starting Time
Notify Ending: Choose your Notify Starting Time
Behavior: (Pre-set to Notify Once)
Step 4 - Sending Email From: (Action Required)
1. If blank, email support@heno.io with a VALID e-mail address that recipients can reply to. We recommend using a company domain and NOT a personal GMAIL/yahoo.com type address.
2. Support will manually send a confirmation test e-mail to that address with a confirmation code that you will need to provide back to them
Step 5 - Confirm to the following 2 Actions
After completing your rule type, please click onto the tile for creating your email
Now inside your rule, choose which filter you would like this email sent to by moving the section from the left to the right side of the shuttle and click "Update Filter":
With your audience set, you can set crafting you email to be sent to patients:
Give your email a subject and start writing in information for your email:
On the right side of the email builder you can also use our substitutions that will pull in the audience's information to make it more personal.
If you would like, you can also use an HTML source to add in pictures and unique settings:

Once completed, let's preview our email:
With everything looking great, let's activate our rule by scrolling up to the "Edit" and with the pop-up "Activate Rule"
After clicking "Activate Rule" it will require you to confirm the 14 possible recipients:
Once your email is scheduled to be sent, they will be sent out and a contact log will be added to the patient's profile if enabled in the rule set up:
For patient's that do not wish to have any further emails you can inactivate from the Patient's account > Details > Marketing.
