FOTO Integration with Heno

In this article we will discuss the integration between HENO and FOTO.

FOTO Patient Outcomes Provides real-time information on treatment effectiveness and efficiency, enabling you to manage quality care metrics, track patient satisfaction and market your successes.

The great benefit include those that are participating in Medicare program MIPS, FOTO provides that ability to report utilizing Patient's Functional Outcomes for the necessary MIPS reporting.

To Start you will need to have the Admin - FOTO Privilege

1) Admin - FOTO Privilege: Admin > Users > Edit Pencil of User > Privileges 

2) FOTO Login: Admin > Users > Edit Pencil of User > FOTO Login

Current Integration Features

  • Patients originally created in HENO creates and/or links to a patients in FOTO
  • Single click sign-in (SSO) to FOTO from Heno to easily access FOTO patient Details

Vendor and API Key Integration Setup

  1. Login to Heno as the practice owner and into FOTO with the organizations administration account
  2. Login to FOTO and go to Integration -> API Key and choose "Heno" for the Vendor.  
    1. If Heno is not listed please contact FOTO
    2. This can be found in your Company Admin Home > Integration 
      1. Blue: Please Select "HENO" as your Vendor.
      2. Green: Please copy the API KEY, this will need to be added into HENO.

  3. Copy the "API Key" into Heno under Admin -> FOTO "Patient Integration API Key" and click "Apply Changes"
    1. This can be found in the Admin > Practice > FOTO:

      1. Red: Enable Toggle Switch, please enable like below in the "on" position
      2. Green: FOTO API Integration Key
      3. Blue: FOTO Pass Phrase
  4. OPTIONAL - For added security an API Pass Phrase can be added.  
    1. To add one in FOTO click on Integration -> API Pass Phrase and enter something containing only numbers and letters WITHOUT spaces and copy and paste into Heno under FOTO -> Passphrase and click "Apply Changes"
    2. WARNING: Passphrase is Case Sensitive
  5. Location Mapping
  6. You will need to update each Practice Location on the Admin -> Foto screen with a corresponding "Ext ID" in FOTO so that patients go into the correct location in FOTO
    1. In Foto go to Clinics -> Clinic Management and note the "Ext ID" Column.   This is what goes into Heno under  Admin -> FOTO -> External Site ID
      1. If the field is blank in FOTO edit the row and add something (Alphanumeric without spaces preferred) and copy it into Heno
      2. If all FOTO locations use the same one or, only one is used then update all locations with the same one in HENO
      3. When a Patient is created it will populate into the corresponding location in Heno
    2. Once these are in place please click on the "Apply Changes" in the upper right corner of your screen:

SSO into FOTO and User Setup

  • We have implemented a Single Sign on (SSO) option for FOTO from Heno
    • If the Heno username matches the FOTO username and the user clicks FOTO in the (IE/PN/DC/Patient Edit) the user will automatically be logged in
    • Ensure you have the FOTO privilege on the user
    • If the FOTO username is different enter it under Admin -> Users -> FOTO Login
  • The following places have the quick login option under the "Actions" menu IF FOTO is enabled
    • Patients Profile
    • Eval
    • Progress Note
    • Discharge
  • From the Patients Tab > *Click* Edit Pencil > Patients Profile > Details > Actions > FOTO
  • From within the document please select the Actions > FOTO
      Clicking onto the FOTO Link will bring you into FOTO to login and access the patients chart. 
    Once you login into FOTO you can continue and utilize FOTO's Patient Outcomes
  • This allows quick access directly to the patients FOTO account to view and/or send outcomes

Patient Mapping

  • When a patient is created or edited for the first time in Heno it will attempt to create that patient in FOTO and send in the Heno PATIENT KEY  as the Patient External Identifier
  • With the FOTO integration enabled there is also a field called "FOTO Patient ID", if the patient already exists in FOTO with that ID Heno will then synch information into the corresponding patient versus attempting to create a new patient
