Insurance Payment by Credit Card

Before proceeding to processing a payment, make sure you have your terminal set up and the privilege in the user..

To take a credit card payment from the insurance, you will want to go into the Billing tab -> Payments. This tab will automatically pull you into the Insurance payment tab, but if it doesn't, please select the tab at the top of the screen (highlighted below in Green):

You will click on the Charge Insurance Card button in the upper right hand side of the screen. The pop-up will look similar to the Patient Payment, but will have you select the insurance company that made the payment:

• Red - Method - This will most likely be a Input CC Number method
• Blue - Insurance - The insurance company that paid by card
• Green - Location - In you have multiple locations, you will select the one that applied
• Purple - Terminal - If your location has multiple terminals, you will select the one the patient will be using their card
• Light Blue - Amount - The amount you are charging the patient

Once you select Charge Card, the charge will go to your terminal. There will be an alert in HENO to remind you:

First it will ask you to confirm the amount:

Then it will ask for the credit card number

Followed by the expiration date

And last the CVV (on the back on the card most of the time)
