"Fake Sending" Claims

Billing > Encounter (Pre-Claim)

*Please note: This method is to clear any Encounters you do not need in your Encounters (Pre-Claim) Section. Your Send Claims Bucket needs to be empty before completing the steps below.

If you are needing to remove the encounter after it has been re-opened and do not want to submit it to the insurance again, this article will explain how to remove the encounter from the pre-claim area.

First:

While in the Encounter (Pre- Claim) section, you will need to do the following:

  • Green Box: Bulk select the the Encounters that you wish to remove.
  • Blue Box: You can either change the Batch Status of all the selected Encounters to Approved or you can approve them individually. 
  • Purple Box: Once you have changed the Batch Status to Approved, they will automatically go to your Send Claims bucket. Note: If you have approved them individually, they will automatically go to your Send Claims bucket as well. 

Billing > Claims

Please Note: This method only works on Electronic Claims.

Once you you have approved the encounters, they will come to your Send Claims Bucket. Once here you will do the following:
  • Red Box: You will need to change the Send Method from eSend to Download. 
  • Purple box: Once you have changed the Send Method to Download, click Submit Electronic Claims

Once you have submitted the claims, you will be able to find the downloaded claims in the EDI Downloads tab (Light Green Box). This will help with keeping them off AR reporting and take them out of the Encounter (Pre-Claim) section.
