Ways to Create a Daily Note

Please Note the Daily Note from Eval, Progress Note, and Discharge can only be done for the SAME date of service. The documentation to the daily note from one date of service to the next is not available at this time. Please continue to review this documentation from the Document tab inside of the Daily Note.

Creating from the Schedule

On the schedule, use your mouse to hover over the appointment and select Daily Note:

Creating from the Initial Evaluation

Use the Action Menu at the top of the evaluation to select Daily Note -> Create from IE. This will map in fields from the evaluation into the Daily Note:

    Creating from the Progress note

    Use the Action Menu at the top of the progress note to select Daily Note -> Create from PN. This will map in fields from the progress note into the Daily Note:

    Creating from the Progress note or Evaluation - Different Day

    Use the Note History tab on the left to select Copy from IE/PN:
    Once you have clicked on it, you will receive a pop-up with these options:
  • Red Box - Mapping Fields (See below for more information)
  • Light Green Box - Experiences
  • Purple Box - CPT Codes
  • Orange Box - Rendering provider
  • Pink Box - Progress Note or Evaluation Date of service you are copying from
  • Blue Box - Turn on Copy From option

    Use the Action Menu at the top of the discharge to select Daily Note -> Create from DC. This will map in fields from the discharge into the Daily Note:

    Creating from the Document tab -> Daily Note

    Click on the Document tab -> Daily Note. Once on the page, you will want to click Create to start a new note or Edit to open a started note:
