New Tab
The "New Tab" feature opens a new tab of the same screen you were originally on. Essentially, this is great if you were on a a specific tab but you needed to open another tab without exiting the current screen you were on. This is when the "New Tab" feature would come into hand.
The "New Tab" feature is located on the main bar next to your email address. Once you click "New Tab", a new tab will appear with the same screen you were originally on:
Click "New Tab" > 
Click "New Tab" > 
A duplicate screen will appear on a new tab :
