Therapists that Treat Both PT and OT

For Therapists that treat PT and OT, there are a couple of things that you need to do.

You will not be using the Modifier Override for this type of Therapist

1. Create 2 Medicare Insurance Companies
   1. Medicare PT - Add GP Modifiers in the Company Rates
   2. Medicare OT - Add GO Modifiers in the Company Rates
2. The Patient will have 2 Cases if being treated for both PT and OT
   1. Put in the same Policy information but name 1 Medicare PT and the other Medicare OT
   2. The KX Modifier is tracked by whether a GP or GO Modifier is billed. So it is important that when scheduling you choose the right Case.
3. The Patient will have 2 Charts to keep the PT and OT Documentation Separate.
