Using the Messaging System

  • The Heno messaging system allows HIPPA complaint communication between your practice users.

Access messaging system

  • To access the messaging system you may click on "messages" (red) under the general tab or click on the envelope symbol (orange) on the top right of the main page. The number of messages to the right of the envelope symbol will update every 45 seconds.
  • Our suggestion is to use the symbol because it will open a new tab and allow you to stay on your current page.

Reading, deleting and replying to messages

  • The left-hand side is your threads. Unopened messages will be marked as new and will be highlighted in yellow.
  • The inbox messages table contains the subject, date received, who sent the message and a preview of the message.
  • To read, delete or reply to a message either click on the subject (red) or on the text under the last message.
  • Now you will see the message history and you will have the option to reply (yellow), cancel (green) or delete (pink).
    • Deleting the message will not erase the message from the other user(s) inbox

  • Creating a new message
  • To create a new message you can begin typing in the box in the left-hand side (green) or click on "new tread" (pink).
  • You have the option to create an individual message or a group message (red).
  • Insert the message subject (yellow).
  • Type in your message (green). You are able to write up to 4000 characters, and expand the text box by dragging on the bottom right corner.
  • Click send (purple)

Once you click send, the message will pop-up in your threads (yellow).

  • You may now create a new message or view other messages.
