Low Auth Bubble

Schedule Tab > Today

In the schedule today tab, you will find a tile with low authorization bubbles on the right-hand side. The bubbles alert you of patients who are running low on authorized visits, patients who plan of care is expiring soon and patients who have upcoming visits. The tile also includes the number of patients that have never been scheduled, and the number of patients that need to be followed up with. You may click on the bubbles to view the patients. 

  • To customize when the system will populate an alert in the low authorization bubbles you can use the Customize Button (This is for Admin Users Only)

1. Admin tab

In the Admin tab --> EMR, you can find another customize button for the low authorization. 

  • Click on "today" red to view and edit the low auth notifications. Enter the number of days and visits in advanced that you want the alerts to show up. Once finished click on Apply Changes button down below, a logout and login is required for these changes.

Using the Low Auth Bubble 

In the general page, there is also a low auth bubble that notifies you of patients who are running low on visits, and days remaining in the plan of care.

The patient shown in the low auth bubble are filtered by remaining visits, days left in the plan of care and expired plan of care. 

  • To eliminate a highlight filter click the checkbox (orange).
  • To edit the highlight filter click on one the box (yellow).
  • To review, the patient policy click the "auth number" or "patient name" (black).
  • To generate a low auth report, click "more details" (red).

Edit "end date has past filter":

  • Change name
  • Enable or disable highlight filter
  • Change background and text color
  • Change the expression and years.

Edit "remaining" visits filter:

  • Change name
  • Enable or disable highlight filter
  • Change background and text  color
  • Change the days remaining by changing the number in expression.

Edit plan of care "end in the next" filter:

  • Change name
  • Enable or disable highlight filter
  • Change background and text  color
  • Change the number of days in expression.

Click on the auth number or patient name to review the patient policy and set-up follow up calls/ visits.

This is the patient policy, review and edit auth visits, dates, notes and max visit charges.

  • Document any follow-up calls in the follow-up box below.

To review all patient that have low auths or are near a low auth in full detail, click "more details" in the low auth bubble, or go to reports > auth

The following information can be seen in this page

  • Patient name, insurance plan and auth #.
  • Plan of care start and end date.
  • The number of authorized visits.
  • The number of times the patient has been checked out.
  • The number of remaining visits.
  • The number of scheduled visits.
