Creating a New Patient

Welcome to the Patient Creation screen. This article will walk you though how to create a patient within Heno

1. Using the "Patients" tab

Click on the "Patients" tab >

Click on "New" >

Enter patients demographics in the appropriate fields >

Fields that are marked with a red asterisk* are required

You can opt the patients in for reminders when registering:

  • Voice Reminders require a Home Phone number in the field.
  • E-mail Reminders require an Email entered in the field, if they don not have an Email please check the "Does Not Have Email Box"
  • Text Reminders require a Cell Phone number in the field. 
  • Click More Details to add additional information for the patient.

* Any additional information you have about the patient, enter it in the appropriate fields as well.

Enter insurance company information in the appropriate fields on the Case >

Is policy holder* select this if you need to add a different policy holder like a spouse or other.

Any additional information you have about the patient, enter it in the appropriate fields as well.

Enter patient Chart information in the appropriate fields >

Fields that are marked with a red asterisk* are required

Chart details box is 4000 characters max.

Check patient's benefits by clicking check eligibility.
Check Finish to finish adding the new patient.

Use Finish and Send intake to send intake see below for sending intake.

Check Patient Eligibility >

Click check eligibility to run check


Select "Create & Send Intake" - this will send the patient their intake forms to fill out online

You have the option to send the intake paperwork via Email or Text

2. On the Schedule

There are two ways to create a new patient on the schedule:

A. Using existing Slot Type:

Click the "Schedule" tab > Then select a slot to schedule an appointment >

Click on "New Patient" >

Enter patients demographics in the appropriate fields >

* Any additional information you have about the patient, enter it in the appropriate fields as well. Click "Create" > 

B. Create Slot and Schedule

Click on a time slot >

Click "New Patient" >
